  • Meeting held at CountryComfort? restaurant at 8:30.
  • BobNewsom? provided a multislot file folder and a box of stuff to RaymondLutz
  • Accept resignation of William Hawatt at next meeting.
  • Timeline:
    • First step is to make appointments.
    • Consider new board members in these positions.
    • ConcertCommittee: Responsible for logistics at each concert, greeting artists.
      • BobNewsom? and MaryLouNewsom? are willing to be first two members of this committee.
      • Need two more members
      • Perhaps also determines the concert dates at ECPAC.
    • MembershipCommittee
      • Call BobLetson? and see if he can think of a good person for co-chair.
    • ConcertSelectionCommittee?
      • This is a new idea, concept is to help preselect concerts for each season.
      • Members may want to attend performer reviews in Nashville, for example.
        • Nashville meeting is Aug 5-7
      • Full board would still vote on lineup.
    • Campaign should end June 15th.
    • Should transfer signatures at bank on June 30th.
    • September meeting perhaps on 13th -- up to GladysTysdale.
      • Must check with Four Points Sheraton for other meetings.
    • Oct 7 - perhaps good date for first concert.
    • Jan 15 - First concert of new year, also need board meeting before it.
    • Mar 6 - Need another board meeting.
    • One after the last concerts.
      • Treasurers report
      • Nominations
    • Worker's dinner. Should be early May, just as brochures are available.
    • Board dinner.
    • Board meetings:
      • Can still be held at FourPointsSheraton.
      • Four meetings seems to be enough (Sept, Jan, Mar, May)
      • Suggest dinner for members before each meeting.
  • Ad Hoc Committees:
    • Campaign pricing/commission strategy
      • Eva is Chair
      • Determine method of rewarding workers.
      • Determine when dinner should be organized.
      • pricing situation - early bird vs late arrival.
  • Special People:
    • MaryBelandres?
      • Has historically developed the subscription brochures
        • Live on stage did it this year, cost was more up front but brochures were cheaper.
      • Now just dinner and organization of workers.
      • Key is does not want to attend meetings.
    • Emily is contact at ECPAC
  • Other tasks:
    • Review of books needed as part of hand-off from TedOlson to GeorgeMason.
    • Will need to meet with the leaders of the Women's Committee to discuss tighter integration.
