Welcome to the Fifth concert of the 59th season of the GCCA.
Tonite, I am starting my remarks early, since this is our Membership Campaign Kickoff.
The 2006/7 season will be our 60th season, and it promises to be one of our best.
This year, we are handling our Membership Campaign a bit differently, so please bear with us.
We were unable to have our full-color brochures available at this concert. We'll describe it in more detail shortly.
At the door, each party should have received this card and envelope.
If you are a couple and you only need one, if someone near you needs one, please share your extra with them. Otherwise, pick one up at the intermission.
As you can see, our tickets are still only $60 per season, and half that for students.
We can offer our concerts at a super-discount rate because we don't have to spend money on promotion.
For example, the Cristiana Pegararo concert we saw last time is $60 at Lincoln Center. That covers our entire season.
Please fill out this card and return it in the envelope with your payment for next season.
Describe how to fill it out.
Include your check and card in the envelope.
Return it:
Drop off At the tables during the intermission or at the end of the concert.
Drop off At the next concert.
Or mail it in (as soon as you can).
Signing up is urgent, as we will sell out. But we do have about 100 to 200 people who fail to renew each year.
The price increases to $65 per seat after June 30th, if we have any seats left.
If you know a friend who may be interested, this is their opportunity to join.
I'd like to introduce Pat Parlin, our Season Planning Committee Chair. She will quickly describe our offering for next year.
Ask for a round of applause for the concert line up.
If there is any doubt, we have some sample fliers at the tables for you to look at. However we only have a few, so you can't take them.
As you fill out your card, I encourage you to add a little extra for the Patron Plan. * Maybe add $5 or $10 per ticket for the Patron Plan. * For couples, you may want to round it from $120 to $150, for example.
One other idea is to purchase an extra pair of tickets so you can invite your friends.
if you know someone we should send a brochure to, fill in a card for them and check the Add to Mailing List box.
At the next concert, we distribute the brochures. This year, we will also be mailing the brochure as well.
If you have any questions, we will have staff at three tables during the intermission.

So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.
